8 selected for promotion to colonel, lieutenant colonel, majors

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Central Selection boards recently released promotions lists which included two colonels, four lieutenant colonels and two major selectees from Sheppard.

Sheppard's colonel selectees are:

- Lt. Col. Thomas Ventriglia, 82nd Training Group

- Lt. Col. Curt VanDeWalle, the previous deputy commander for the 82nd Mission Support Group

Among the lieutenant colonel selectees are:

- Maj. Shelly Kastler, 82nd Training Wing

- Maj. Karen O'Connell, 383rd Training Squadron

- Maj. Christina Zotto, 82nd Medical Support Squadron

- Maj. Julie Zwies, 82nd MDSS

Sheppard's newest major selectees include:

- Capt. Julie Gordon-Smith

- Capt. Barry White, 382nd Training Squadron
