Airman found dead at Sheppard Published March 7, 2008 By 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- At 8:50 a.m. March 7, a student Airman at Sheppard AFB was found in her base lodging room unresponsive and with a stab wound. She was immediately transferred to United Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead at about 9:35 a.m. The incident is under investigation by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and the Sheppard AFB security forces squadron. The Airman's name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin. Anyone with information regarding the case should call Sheppard Air Force Base security forces at (940) 676-2981.
