Sheppard Air Force Base solidified once again that it is the best from command- to Air Force-level as squadrons and personnel were recognized for their achievements over the last year.

The accolades include accomplishments in security forces, life support, video productions and logistics.

The 782nd Training Group's 367th Training Support Squadron at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, will represent the Air Force in multiple Visual Information Production categories at the Department of Defense level. The squadron earned first place in the documentary category with their production "To Touch the Sky - The Air Force Memorial Story," as well as its internal/public information video "Intermountain CFC 2007 Campaign."

The 367th TRSS will also compete in the training and recruitment categories.

Air Education and Training Command also recently announced winners for aircrew flight equipment and logistics, both of which had Team Sheppard winners.

The 361st Training Squadron was recognized as the Outstanding Aircrew Flight Equipment Small Program of the Year, and William Everett was named the Outstanding Aircrew Flight Equipment Civilian of the Year in category II.

Three Sheppard earned the right to compete at the Air Force level when they received Logistics Readiness awards from AETC. Winners from Sheppard include: Tech. Sgt. Randy Davidson, 364th Training Squadron, Fuels NCO of the Year; Master Sgt. Lonny Rowden, 82nd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Traffic Management Senior NCO of the Year; and Tech. Sgt. Donald Jost, 364th TRS, Logistics Readiness Instructor of the Year.

Two members of the 82nd Security Forces Squadron received accolades from 2nd Air Force for their respective categories. Senior Airman Shawn Ryan was named the 2nd AF Airman of the Year, while Tech. Sgt. Jacqueline Baumeyer was named NCO of the Year for the numbered Air Force.

AETC-level winners will continue on to compete at the Air Force level, while 2nd AF winners will compete at the command level.
