Air Force selects 16 Sheppard officers for promotion

Sixteen Sheppard Air Force Base officers were recently selected for promotion, including two to colonel, 13 to lieutenant colonel and one to major.

The two selected for promotion to colonel hail from the medical community: Lt. Col. Joseph Kennedy, deputy commander of the 882nd Training Group, and Lt. Col. Richard Terry, commander of the 882nd Training Support Squadron.

Those selected for promotion to lieutenant colonel include: Maj. Thomas Bongiovi, 366th Training Squadron; Maj. Andrew Dean, 80th Flying Training Wing; Maj. George German, 90th Flying Training Squadron; Maj. Brad Gillette, 80th FTW; Maj. Walter Graves, 366th TRS; Maj. Eric Jachimowicz, 89th FTS; Maj. David Leazer II, 89th FTS; Maj. John Mihaly, 89th FTW; Maj. Henry Myers Jr., 373rd TRS; Maj. Jenniffer Romero, 82nd Communications Squadron; and Maj. Thomas Vail, 89th FTS.

Sheppard also has two inbound officers who were selected for promotion to lieutenant colonel. Those include: Maj. Shane Barrett, projected to be at the 982nd Maintenance Squadron; and Maj. Michael Sheredy, projected to be at the 366th TRS's Detachment 7 at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

Capt. John Daniels, 882nd TRG, was selected for promotion to major.
