On July 1, one of the base's primary electrical transformers at the electrical substation failed. Electricians have restored all service by routing through the one remaining transformer, and repair efforts are underway. While the remaining transformer can handle the load, the 82nd Civil Engineer Squadron asks that people power down all unnecessary electrical devices basewide: lights, lamps, monitors, etc. to avoid overloading the remaining transformer or requiring use of emergency generators. Once the transformer has been repaired and tested, updates on its status will be released. (U.S. Air Force photo/courtesy of 82nd Civil Engineer Squadron)
