Airman Cooper was cited for her ability to save the squadron money by correcting a coding error for medical billing that saved the 82nd Medical Group $1.1 million. She also identified more than 350 items to return for credit, resulting in a return of $5,000 through the expired drug return program. Tech. Sgt. Jennifer Boyle, center, of the 381st Training Squadron accepts her award May 16 as the NCO of the Quarter during the 82nd Training Wing Quarterly Awards luncheon at the Sheppard Club. Sergeant Boyle was recognized as a skilled instructor in the dental apprentice course, providing more than 300 instructing hours in a four-block course. She also instructed 23 individuals on basic CPR and life-saving skills. The 82nd Security Forces Squadron's Master Sgt. James Blackston accepts the award of Senior NCO of the Quarter from Brig. Gen. Richard Devereaux, 82nd Training Wing commander, May 16 during the Quarterly Awards luncheon at the Sheppard Club. Sergeant Blackston was recognized for leading a 13-person team while deployed for 190 days in support of the global war on terrorism. He managed $3 million in base surveillance and targeting radars, earning recognition as the best program in the area of responsibility. Capt. Kenneth Poindexter (not pictured) was named the CGO of the Quarter May 16 during the 82nd Training Wing Quarterly Awards luncheon at the Sheppard Club. Captain Poindexter singled himself out by bringing in a new criminal and terrorist watchlist at the gates, resulting in 13 arrests in 40 days. He also initiated a neighborhood watch program in Capehart Housing with the Wichita Falls Police Department and supervised the John Tower Elementary D.A.R.E. program. Maj.
