Representatives from 14 NATO partner nations gathered in Dresden, Germany, Sept. 15–19, for the 90th meeting of the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJPT) Steering Committee, reaffirming their shared commitment to developing the next generation of combat pilots.

“Every decision we make is grounded in collective trust and shared responsibility,” said Col. Jeffrey Shulman, 80th Flying Training Wing commander. “The collaboration of this committee ensures we remain ready to train the world’s best fighter pilots for decades to come.”

Discussions focused on securing support and funding for the planning of a new ENJJPT operations building in preparation for the arrival of the T-7 Red Hawk, as well as initiatives supporting partner nation personnel and their families at Sheppard Air Force Base.

Members also addressed operational requirements and agreements among partner nations.

With ENJJPT pilot production at its highest in more than a decade, the program continues to strengthen NATO airpower by producing skilled combat pilots ready to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

The next Steering Committee meeting will be held in Wichita Falls, Texas in March 2026.
