Presley named 'Instructor of the Week'

Capt. Jacob Presley, 89th Flying Training Squadron chief of squadron mission support and native of Barnhart, Mo., has been in the Air Force for 11 years and is the Instructor of the Week at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, for the week of Dec. 1-7, 2015.

How he impacts the training mission:

"Captain Presley is entrusted with monitoring the execution of all aspects of the Sheppard T-6 annual flying hour program encompassing nearly 30,000 flying hours and more than 20,000 sorties," said Lt. Col. Neal Newell, 89th FTS commander.

Most significant accomplishments:

"Presley assisted in the capturing or neutralizing multiple high value targets while keeping U.S. and Allied forces safe as an MC-12 pilot," Newell said. "He was the first person in his family to go to college and join the military and obtained an ROTC scholarship and achieved his dream to become an Air Force pilot."
