Senior Airman Acalia Cleaver, 82nd Medical Support Squadron family member relocation care coordinator and native of Sugar Grove, Ill., has been in the Air Force for two and a half years and is the Support Airman of the Week at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, for the week of Nov. 3-9, 2015. Cleaver is responsible for ensuring Airmen in Training and permanent party members are able to move to another duty station.

How she impacts the training mission:

"Senior Airman Cleaver assisted 81 Airmen and their families permanently change station to CONUS [continental United States] and OCONUS [Outside the continental United States] locations in three months," said Master Sgt. Nicanor Barboza, Cleaver's superintendent. "Colonel Gregory DeWolf, 82nd Medical Group commander, coined Senior Airman Cleaver for assisting three members for emergency overseas travel."

Most significant accomplishments:

"She is currently six classes shy from obtaining her CCAF [Community College of the Air Force degree] in Health Services Management," Barboza said. "She was born at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Both of her parents were Marines and all three of her brothers were in the military at some point."

"She joined the Air Force after high school and went to Basic Military Training with an open general contract and was assigned to be a Health Services Management Technician," he continued. "Her technical school was at the Medical Education Training Campus at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. After two months of joint services training, she moved to Sheppard Air Force Base."

"I hope to continue my Air Force career, either as an NCO, or a commissioned officer so that I can continue to work with and for amazing Airmen," Cleaver said.

"Senior Airman Cleaver was recently invited to tour the Air Force Academy school campus and met with Lieutenant General Michelle Johnson," Barboza said. "General Johnson is the superintendent of the Air Force Academy. Cleaver is currently applying for admission to the Air Force Academy."
