Beyond pilot training Published Aug. 21, 2015 By Senior Airman Robert L. McIlrath 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- It's no secret the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, trains some of the best pilots in the world, but behind the scenes of the Top Gun-like environment are the Sergeants of ENJJPT. Originally known as the Top Four, the Sergeants of ENJJPT members are all assigned to the 80th Flying Training Wing and assist their Command Chief with spearheading the toughest challenges to heighten morale within the wing. The Sergeants of ENJJPT may only be based in the 80th FTW, but their goals expand to the 82nd Training Wing as well. "Our mission is to develop, enhance and promote a professional image to Sheppard as a whole," said U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Michael Kerin, Sergeants of ENJJPT president. "We want to improve the quality of life and professional development of noncommissioned officers and Airmen and to promote activities thereby increasing job satisfaction." Some of their goals are to promote a stronger relationship between the squadrons and families of enlisted members and enhance the career potential for those at the wing. "In recent months we've held bullet writing seminars, enlisted professional military education briefings, pushup challenges and we will be doing the Trunk or Treat this October," Kerin said. "We will be inviting members of the ENJJPT community and their families to join us at the Trunk or Treat," said U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Sterling Rosenau, Sergeants of ENJJPT vice president. "It's easier for the kids to get their candy and also much safer for them instead of going from house to house." Every second Thursday of the month, the Sergeants of ENJJPT hold their meetings. It costs either $1 per month or $10 per year to join. To join Sergenats of ENJJPT or for more information, contact Kerin at 940-676-0308 or Rosenau at 940-676-8304.
