Purchasing 101 seminars scheduled for April 22, 2015

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --  The 82nd Contracting Squadron will host the first Purchasing 101 Seminar at the NCO Academy, April 22, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Purchasing 101 will host a series of courses designed to guide customers through the buying process. Action officers, resource advisors, Government Purchasing Card cardholders and approving officials, and any other personnel interested in learning the government buying process are highly encouraged to attend. 

The following subjects will be covered:

Required Documentation: Learn how to identify and apply appropriate documents; performance work statements, statements of objectives or statements of work for specific contract types.

Mandatory Sources 101 (Office Furnishings): Learn how to properly buy office furniture and how mandatory sources are navigated.

Mandatory Sources 102 (Information Technology): Learn how to buy information technology, and how to fill out a Work Order Management request.

332 Process: Learn how to properly fill out an AF IMT 332 form, what the coordination process encompasses, and when the form is actually required.

Coordination and Approvals: Learn what must be coordinated through various base offices. An interactive panel made up of members representing the various approving agencies will answer questions and shed light on the various approval processes.

Government Purchase Card Survival Training: An inside look into procedures for making purchases over the Micro-Purchase Limit and the reporting requirements.

Financial Management: Illuminates the financial management world of budget executions, requirements planning, and Form 9 creations.
