An Airman here achieved perfection Oct. 10, 2014, when she was presented an ACE award during graduation.

Airman Cheyenne Lanham, a 361st Training Squadron aerospace propulsion graduate from Portland, Ore., has earned the ACE award by maintaining a 100 percent average throughout seven blocks of instruction.

Lanham attributes her success to her instructors.

"I had two really good instructors," she said. "If I had any questions about anything or if I just needed clarification on something, they were always there to help."

Stefan Watkins, 361st TRS aerospace instructor, takes pride in his very first ACE award student.

"I've never had an ACE before," Watkins said. "We don't slack on teaching our students, we wanted to put out a product that will reflect us and I think she will do a good job at that."

Staff Sgt. David Thompson, 361st TRS aerospace instructor, suggests Lanham's success came from her natural drive for success.

"She isn't a slacker," Thompson said. "Just point her in the right direction and she will run with it."

"Lanham is very strong minded." Watkins said. "She definitely puts in the time."

Watkins believes this will be a good jumpstart for her career in the Air Force.

Lanham will soon be calling Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, her new home.
