Hydraulics student earns ACE award Published Oct. 6, 2014 By Airman 1st Class Robert L. McIlrath 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Self-discipline and hard work paid off for an Airman with the 364th Training Squadron Oct. 1, 2014, when he was presented with an ACE award. The ACE award is given to students who maintain a 100 percent GPA on every block test in their curriculum. Airman 1st Class Timothy Millard aced all five block tests in the hydraulics systems apprentice course. The hydraulic systems apprentice course includes training in basic troubleshooting, operation of associated ground support equipment, operation of test equipment, aircraft familiarization, ground safety practices, electrical fundamentals, hydraulic fundamentals, technical orders, use of technical publications, principles of aircraft maintenance management systems, and use of maintenance data collection forms as applicable to aircraft hydraulic systems specialists. The 28-year-old, Altus, Okla., native will soon be a member of the 507th Air Refueling Wing at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. Millard adhered to the Air Force core value, excellence in all we do, and displayed perseverance during the 49 academic day course.
