Wing program manager named commander's 'Wingman of Choice'

Tech. Sgt. Daniel J. Nienhaus is the commander's "Wingman of Choice" For the week of April 21-25. The 82nd Training Wing "Wingman of Choice" award program is the commander's way of acknowledging Airmen for a job well done and to recognize Airmen who exemplify the spirit of the program.

Criteria for consideration include outstanding duty performance, community involvement and exemplary leadership.

Why is this person the Wingman of Choice? Tech. Sgt. Nienhaus has been instrumental in laying a firm foundation for the establishment of the new Air Force Inspection System here. His behind-the-scenes work with the units facilitated accomplishment of our first-ever wing-wide self-assessment MICT review as well as assisted with the completion and closeout of more than 300 checklist deficiencies. He is constantly engaged with headquarter functional area managers regarding MICT checklist updates and recent changes. He solicits and compiles data from all units in building the monthly slides as well as exercise out briefs. Nienhaus is also the emergency management representative for all of the wing staff agencies. Lastly, he is a fully certified 82nd Security Forces Squadron investigator and serves as one of only two Transportation Security Administration certified prisoner escorts on base.
