NCO Academy class 14-3 graduates; Cramer earns Levitow

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The Sheppard Non-Commissioned Officer Academy Class 14-3 graduated 180 NCO's here Apr. 3, receiving 11 credit hours through the Community College of the Air Force.

Tech. Sgt. Michael Cramer, Creech Air Force Base, Nev. earned the John L. Levitow Award as the top overall graduate. This formal award is the highest honor awarded to a graduate and named after the Medal of Honor recipient Sergeant John L. Levitow. It is presented to the student who attains the highest cumulative score on all evaluations, demonstrates leadership, teamwork, military bearing and dedication to the spirit and mission of the ALS, as well as the NCO corps. This award recipient is the most Distinguished Graduate.

Tech. Sgt. Danielle Ayer, Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., earned the Commandant Award, which recognizes the student who best displays professional military leadership qualities and makes the most significant contribution to the overall success of the class. Selection is based upon demonstrated leadership, positive attitude and initiative.

Tech. Sgt. Tyler Stevens Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, earned the Academic Achievement Award. This award denotes excellence as a scholar and is earned by the student with the top academic scores in the class.
