Medical Airman is commander's wingman of choice Published Jan. 14, 2014 By 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Staff Sgt. George Brooks an 82nd Medical Support Squadron medical materiel specialist from Prattville, Ala., has been selected as the commander's wingman of choice for the week of Jan. 3. He has spent four months at Sheppard enjoys disc jockeying, managing fundraisers and is inspired by his fellow Airmen. The 82nd Training Wing "Commander's Wingman of Choice" award program is the commander's way of acknowledging Airmen for a job well done and to recognize Airmen who exemplify the spirit of the program. Criteria for consideration include outstanding duty performance, community involvement and exemplary leadership. Family: Wife, Staff Sgt. Katelynn Brooks and son, Dylan. Education: Prattville High School (Alabama) and CCAF Future goals: To get my bachelor's in history education and have fun! Greatest accomplishment: Creating, organizing and running three years of Relay for Life events. All three years together raised $51,000 for the American Cancer Society.
