Assistant flight chief is commander's 'Wingman of Choice' Published Dec. 11, 2013 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Master Sgt. Kristopher M. Eddy, a 361st Training Squadron assistant flight chief from Greenbow, Ala., has been selected as the commander's wingman of choice. He has spent 11 years in the Air Force and is inspired by his faith, fellow Airmen, family and Alabama football. Family: Wife-Vikki. Expecting first child in February. Future goals: To become an officer in the United States Air Force Greatest accomplishment: All accomplishments that I have received during my career all hold the same weight and have all had great impacts, so it is too difficult to narrow it down to just one. Hobbies, off-duty interests: Spending time with family and friends, watching all sports, volunteer opportunities within the community and anything Alabama football related. Reason for submission: Eddy appointed squadron representative to the University of Kiwanis (sister organization). He maintains relations by attending their meetings and coordinating all volunteer efforts. His efforts led 480 volume hours and raised $88,000. He was also hand-picked to lead the squadron tiger team for discrepancies. He identified and resolved more than 160 errors and created a user's guide for all instructor supervisors. In addition, he ran a monthly squadron physical training program and reduced the number of fails by 50 percent. Commander's name According to Maj. He is the squadron's go-to guy for any and all special projects, particularly those that will have a lasting impact on operations. His application to the Officer Training School is spot-on and he will make a fine officer.
