Airman pleads guilty, sentenced for drug charges

An Airman from the 82nd Communications Squadron here was sentenced to three months confinement, a bad-conduct discharge, forfeiture of $1,010 per month for three months and reduction to E-1 during a general court martial Nov. 21.

Airman Brock A. Boren, a 27-year-old communications Airmen, pled guilty to charges of wrongful possession of spice, wrongful use of marijuana and wrongful use of methamphetamines.

Evidence presented showed that Boren purchased spice on multiple occasions between May and November 2012. Evidence presented also showed he smoked marijuana while on leave in May 2013. He subsequently tested positive for THC in a drug urinalysis.

Between April and June 2013, Boren used methamphetamine pills and tested positive for d-methamphetamine on three separate occasions.

Boren pled guilty to all charges and specifications as part of a pre-trial agreement.
