The 52nd annual Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) officially kicked off on September 5th with a breakfast at the Sheppard Club.

The CFC prides itself on being the largest and most successful philanthropic program, with a mission to "promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all."

With well over 20,000 local, national and international charities, Sheppard's CFC organizer Capt Brandon Keyser issued a challenge to make it personal.

"This campaign makes it a personal experience by bringing the charity that has affected your life or loved ones lives in some way, allowing you to give back directly to them," he said.

This year searching the CFC listing is even easier. Squadron and other CFC representatives have been given access to a PDF file of all the organizations which can be searched by key words.

"Our hope is that everyone can have the privilege of not only serving our country but at the same time supporting our community in this uniquely personal way," Keyser said.
