E&E instructor is commander's "Wingman of Choice"

Staff Sgt. Elizabeth Kopp, a 364th Training Squadron Electrical and Environmental instructor from Madison, Ala., is Brig. Gen. Michael Fantini's "Wingman of Choice" for the week of Sept. 9. Kopp has been in the Air Force for 10 years and enjoys helping others.

The 82nd Training Wing commander's "Wingman of Choice" award program is the commander's way of acknowledging Airmen for a job well done and to recognize Airmen who exemplify the Air Force core values. Criteria for consideration include outstanding duty performance, community involvement and exemplary leadership.

Family: Husband, 1st Lt. Jacob A. Kopp

Education (Include name of school and degree in what area): Community College of the Air Force degree completed and six classes away from a Bachelors of Science in criminal justice with a 3.94 GPA.

What inspires you: Helping others to the best of my ability to see them excel in life and overcome their obstacles.

Future goals: Become an officer in the Air Force and get a master's degree in criminal justice.

Greatest accomplishment: Excelling and overcoming life's obstacles.

Hobbies, off-duty interests: Softball, volleyball, swimming and volunteering to help others.

Why is this person the Wingman of Choice? Since arriving at Sheppard, Kopp has jumped in with both feet. In less than four months she has taken over office test and measurement programs, completed security forces augmentee training, spent Fourth of July weekend mentoring more than 400 students and taught four classes.
