ITU in need of participants for digital technology trial Aug 19-22 Published Aug. 7, 2013 By Jennifer Andrews 982nd Maintenance Squadron Instructional Technology Unit SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The 982nd Maintenance Squadron's Instructional Technology Unit is in need of volunteers to participate in a small group tryout of the revamped fire extinguisher course from Aug. 19-22. Each volunteer will need approximately 30 minutes to complete the course, scheduled to take place in room A311 of building 920 (third floor, A wing). No appointment is needed; simply show up anytime from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. each day during the tryout week to participate. The fire extinguisher course to be tested is an upgrade from the current course found on ADLS. It contains short informational sections, followed by a "first-person shooter" fire extinguishing scenario. Since fire extinguisher training is required for all Sheppard members annually, the ITU would like to get a representative sample of Sheppard's population to participate. Participants will be asked to provide background information and to complete a short survey concerning the quality of the course. Please contact Ms. Jennifer Andrews at 676-5276 for more information.
