Pharmacy element chief is commander's 'Wingman of Choice'

Capt. Julie Na, a clinical pharmacy element chief, has earned the The 82nd Training Wing "Commander's Wingman of Choice" award. The program is the commander's way of acknowledging Airmen for a job well done and to recognize Airmen who exemplify the spirit of the program.

Why is this person the Wingman of Choice?
Na has hit the ground running since she arrived at Sheppard AFB. After receiving her pharmacist license, she mastered Coumadin clinic, taking care of approximately 80 patients receiving medication that requires frequent monitoring. She undertook a process improvement to integrate pharmacist assist Disease Managers in taking care of 1,200 patients with diabetes or hypertension. She instituted the pharmacy tech-check-tech program for six technicians and an electronic non-formulary request for six providers.
