Tech. Sgt. Jamie Adimora, Wing Staff Agencies executive assistant and native of Beaufort, South Carolina has been in the Air Force for 10 and a half years and is the Support Airman of the Week at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, for the week of Feb. 16-22, 2016. She is responsible for ensuring various tasks from the 2nd Air Force and Headquarters Air Education and Training Command are distributed to 82nd Training Wing units and accomplished in a timely manner. These tasks vary and can be as simple as gathering data for AETC policy or as complicated as the revision of course materials, syllabus and policy for technical training that affects nearly 5,000 Airmen in Training.

How she impacts the training mission:

“Tech. Sergeant Adimora brought her knowledge of FSS [Force Support Squadron] to the wing staff to work as the executive assistant to the director of staff,” said Maj. Paul Siegler, 82nd Wing Staff Agency director of staff. “She has helped fill technical training instructor gaps by processing requests directly with AETC [Air Education and Training Command] air staff. These requests will help fill a need as Sheppard prepares to increase technical training production for Air Force needs.

“Tech. Sergeant Adimora also impacts the training mission through coordinating with all base agencies, specifically the training operations agency and the three training groups [982nd Training Group, 782nd TRG and 82nd TRG],” he said.

Most significant accomplishments:

Adimora’s most significant accomplishments include earning the rank of technical sergeant and starting a family with her husband after being geographically separated for 20 months; Adimora’s first child is due in late March.

Tech. Sergeant Adimora was influenced by her two older siblings [also in the Air Force] to join the Air Force after graduating from high school,” Siegler said. “She also knew that taking this path would provide stability and she was excited about having an instant career as opposed to a just a job. She was also excited about the opportunity to travel and pursue a degree.”

Adimora aspires to become a Deliberate and Crises Action Planning and Execution System instructor immediately following her tour at Sheppard.
