Wingman of Choice: Hipple Published Feb. 18, 2016 By Staff Reports 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Tech. Sgt. John Hipple, 372nd Training Squadron operations manager and native of Arlington, Texas, has been in the Air Force for 12 years and is the Wingman of Choice at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, for the week of Feb. 16-22, 2016. Hipple’s greatest accomplishment is marrying his wife, Kelly, and having his 5-year-old son Linden, and two daughters, Molly who is three and Marilyn who is two. He enjoys golf, fishing, hunting, building a model train layout for his son and making dollhouse furniture for his girls. His future goals are to receive his black belt certification, eventually be a self-employed industrial engineer with a focus on project design and management. He will be completing his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering Technology. “The commitment I made nearly 12 years ago to support and defend the United States of America, is what inspires me,” said Hipple. Commander’s comments: “Tech. Sergeant Hipple inspires through his daily work ethic and commitment to the 372nd Training Squadron, the 982nd Training Group, and the 82nd Training Wing,” said Lt. Col. Kenneth Shinn, 372nd TRS commander. “When given any task to complete, he sets excellence as the minimum standard.”
