Airman 1st Class Jeremy Kent has been named the Sheppard AFB Tax Center volunteer of the week for the week of Feb. 15-19, 2016. Kent is a first time volunteer, and he not only volunteers multiple days per week in the Tax office, he uses his communications expertise to help fix all of the Tax Center’s technical difficulties. Kent’s tax knowledge and communications skills are vital to the efficient operations of the Tax Center. Kent’s dedication and work ethic are a credit to himself and the 82 CS/SCOS. Thanks for helping to make Sheppard AFB a better place for our Airmen and their families!

Q & A with Airman 1st Class Kent:

  1. What do you like most about volunteering?

I enjoy helping the veterans and other members to get the most out of their tax returns.

  2. Why did you join the Air Force?

I originally joined the Air Force for Combat Control and was injured during training.

           3. What got you interested in Comm and computers?

After the unfortunate experience of being injured in CCT training, I was re-classed into the Communications field.  While Comm was not my first choice of career fields, I have grown very fond of it and have even been able to use some of my knowledge to help the tax center.
