Rishi Seedan has been named the Sheppard Air Force Base Tax Center Volunteer of the Week for the week of Feb. 29-March 4, 2016. Seedan is a returning volunteer who has used his knowledge and experience to become one of this year’s top performers, filing 45 returns to date. His background in communications has also come in handy several times when network issues arose in the Tax Center and he gave us on-the-spot resolutions. Seedan’s tax knowledge and dedication have been vital in the effective operation of the Sheppard Tax Center this season. We want to give a big thank you to Staff Sgt. Seedan and his squadron, 82 TRW/CS, for all their support and outstanding contribution in making the Sheppard Tax Center a success this year! Q & A with SSgt Seedan: Do you have any advice for those thinking about volunteering? It's a great learning experience, where you're constantly learning something new every day. You have the opportunity to meet and interact with new people; retirees especially have really good stories. Great sense of accomplishment helping your fellow airmen get the biggest refund possible, that'll put a smile on anybody's face. Don't be scared to ask questions, and have fun. What's been the biggest challenge of volunteering at the tax center? The biggest challenge for me has been running into situations where I need help. Thankfully we have some very knowledgeable volunteers, who are always willing to help. What's one thing you learned from this experience that surprised you? I've learned how truly in-depth you have to be when preparing an individual's taxes.
