Recall of frozen product Italian blend and Italian beans Published Aug. 3, 2015 By Staff Reports 82d AMDS Public Health Flight Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas -- The J.R. Simplot Co. North American Food Group is conducting a voluntary Class II recall of the IQF products identified in the table below due to notification from one of our Suppliers indicating the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
