Recall on Albacore Tuna of Bumble Bee Foods Due to Defects in the Pouch Seals

The 82d AMDS Public Health Flight received a recall of Albacore Tuna. Bumble Bee Foods of San Diego, California is recalling specific codes of pouched Albacore tuna due to defects in the pouch seals. Consumption of this tuna could lead to foodborne illness if it gets contaminated by pathogens or harmful bacteria. There have been no reports of people getting sick associated with these products to date. Records show that product codes dated 3/3/2014 through 9/11/2014 are in questions that consumers should be aware of.
