FDA recall "The Original Soupman Lobster Bisque" due to Allergy Alert Published Oct. 1, 2014 By Public Health Flight 82d AMDS SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE TEXAS -- The 82d AMDS Public Health flight received an allergy alert from The Original Soupman of Staten Island, New York. They are voluntarily recalling some of its Lobster Bisque due to human error. Some cartons were not printed explaining that the product also contains shrimp, as well as perch and tilapia in its lobster base. People who have shrimp allergies are at the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. There has been no allergic reaction cases reported to date and the product is safe for consumption by people who have no allergies to lobster, shrimp, perch or tilapia. This product was sold on Sheppard AFB, Lot Number-0314435801 and UPC-8-51354-00026 .
