Public health notifies of cottage cheese recall Published May 22, 2014 By 82nd Aerospace Medical Squadron 82nd Medical Group SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The 82nd Aerospace Medical Squadron Public Health Flight received a food recall for cottage cheese. Kraft is voluntarily recalling various units for cottage cheese. Some ingredients used in these products were not stored in accordance with Kraft's temperature standards. While unlikely, this could create conditions that could lead to premature spoilage and/or food borne illness; therefore, the company is issuing the recall as a precaution. Approximately 1.2 million cases of affected product were shipped to customers across the United States. These various cottage cheese products were sold on Sheppard and nationwide; facilities that were selling items in this recall have placed these products on medical hold. Kraft is requesting consumers contact their consumer relations center at 1-800-396-6307. The contact center is staffed from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST.
