Materne North America Corp recalls packages of GoGo squeeZ applesauce pouches

On March 5, 2016, Materne North America Corp (MNA) is voluntarily recalling specific packages of GoGo squeeZ® applesauce pouches due to potential contamination from a residue of the original food product.

 

Cross contamination of different products can cause hazardous bacterial growth and can be dangerous when consumed by causing different illnesses. It’s important to check these products, if owned, for the dates and marking listed in the paragraph below. The recalled products were available for purchase nationwide in many retail stores. The recalled applesauce pouches have a Best Before Date of 12/4/15-3/4/17; a 5 digit production code that begins with “US” followed by 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07 or 08, on the back of the pouch, or on the bottom of the box; and “Product of USA” displayed under the Nutrition Facts Panel on the box.

 

Public Health confirmed that Sheppard AFB facilities DO NOT carry these products on base.
