SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico and native of Ponca City, Oklahoma, has
been in the Air Force for seven and a half years and is the Instructor of the
Week at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, for the week of Mar. 1-7, 2016.
Most significant accomplishments:
Vaughn received two Air Force Achievement Medals from the Air
Force Special Operations Command deployments.
Airman’s story:
Vaughn originally
joined the Air Force for education and now plans to make the Air Force a
career. He will be getting married this May and has completed 25 percent of his
Bachelor of Science degree in Unmanned Systems Engineering from Embry-Riddle
University.
“Vaughn was recently
appointed to the detachment scheduling program,” said Master Sgt. Eric Vietje. “He
has excelled in his duties by building new relationships with brand new host
schedulers. In doing so, he has worked very hard to help repair their broken
program after a huge personnel turnover in the military training section. Additionally,
Vaughn built a relationship with the Minnesota Air National Guard that has enabled
him to travel there on two different occasions. During that time, he was able
to accomplish vitally needed training and improve the engine back shop repair
process.”
