Multistate outbreak of listeriosis continues

Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc. has voluntarily recalled products related to recent CRF frozen vegetable recall due to listeria monocytogenes. In regards to the association, items from Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc. contain vegetables that are part of the CFR frozen foods recall. Various not-ready-to eat frozen food items are recalled due to the potential for these products to be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.  

Food contaminated by the bacterium listeria monocytogenes, consumption can cause a serious infection of listeriosis. Common symptoms include fever, muscle aches, and diarrhea or other gastrointestinal symptoms. However, symptoms vary depending on the person. There is a high risk for pregnant woman, newborns, and adults with weakened immune systems.

Products impacted by this recall have a use-by-date of Nov. 5, 2017 or earlier.  For a complete list of products to include their product number, description, and pack size visit the FDA website at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm499858.htm.

Customers or consumers are advised to discard these products or return them to the store where originally purchased. Any questions or concerns may be directed to the company’s consumer hotline at (855) 742-5011, Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. PDT.
