Senior Airman
Brittany Gildersleeve, 82nd Medical Group
prophylaxis technician and native of Eagle River, Alaska, has been in the
Air Force for five years and is the commander’s Wingman of Choice at Sheppard
Air Force Base, Texas, for the week of June 28 – July 4, 2016.
Most significant
accomplishments:

Community College
of the Air Force Applied Science degree in Dental Assisting.
- Going on a deployment.
Airman’s
story:
“My mom
has a very strong work ethic and never takes a handout,” Gildersleeve said
about how her mother inspires her.
Gildersleeve
wishes to become a dental hygienist and enjoys going to the gym. “Working out
inspires me to be fit and mentally fit,” she said. “It allows me to better
myself and be healthy.”

“Senior Airman
Brittany Gildersleeve is a versatile dental technician who runs three programs
in addition to her primary duties as a Senior Airman,” said Col. Haris Ehland,
82nd Dental Squadron commander. “As the High Caries Risk program
manager she monitored treatment and follow up of more than 200 patients … She
has provided oral cleanings in support of the Air Force Dental Readiness
Assurance Program; producing $15,000 in dental care with 71 percent of active
duty personnel in dental class one status. Senior Airman Gildersleeve briefs
Airmen in Training weekly on dental hygiene and effects of smoking. She is a
true asset to the clinic and deserving of recognition for her hard work.”
