Support Airman of the Week: A1C Kent

Airman 1st Class Jeremy Kent 82nd Communications Squadron client systems technician and native of Huntingtown, Maryland, has been in the Air Force for two years and is the Support Airman of the Week at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, for the week of Nov. 8-14, 2016.

 

Most significant accomplishments:

- Performed 42 honor guard details.

- Installed iPhone encryption certificates for the 782nd Training Group command section.

- Being selected as his units Combined Federal Campaign representative.

Airman’s story:

“I was born and raised in Huntington Maryland where my family raised me to be hard working dedicated individual,” Kent said. “The reason I decided to join the Air Force was to enhance my career opportunities and take advantage of the educational benefits. The reason I get out of bed is the pride I get in resolving customer issues. My purpose is to work hard every day all while enjoying life.”     

Supervisor comments:

“As a technician assigned to the Sheppard client services center, Airman Kent is responsible for providing desktop support to the largest and only NATO base in the Air Education and Training Command,” said Staff Sgt. Eric Morris, client services NCO in charge. “Since Sheppard has such a massive influx of Airmen in Training coming and going every week, it is vital that our instructors and Military Training Leaders are able to perform their duties with only minimal down time. The day to day duties of Airman Kent are vital in shaping the future of America’s Airmen.”
