Sheppard AFB Photo Gallery

Thank you for visiting the Sheppard Air Force Base photo gallery. Since the site was established in 2007, thousands of images from training activities to support functions, family events and more have been captured and posted here. A change in the content management system has limited the number of gallery pages to 100, so guests will not be able to scroll through the pages to the very beginning of our collection. However, guests can search for images by using keywords such as names, a specific squadron, an aircraft, or event.

982nd MXS reduces cost of materials

Senior Master Sgt. Walter Purevich, 982nd Maintenance Squadron flight chief, demonstrates the 3D layer process from start to finish July 22 at the 982 MSX facility. The 3D Fused Deposition Modeler (FDM) creates 3D solid models directly from 3D CAD files, or similar software, using polycarbonate, ABS plastic to build strong and durable, fully functional prototypes within hours. This process reduces the cost of materials through use of ABS plastic and reduction of wasted alloys. (U.S. Air Force photo/Danny Webb)
