Master Sgt. Gil De La Cerda is the 80th Flying Training Wing's 2006 Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year. The 80th Operations Support Squadron sergeant's oversight of the aviation resource management career field and technical expertise led to Excellent ratings for three flying squadron operations sections in the recent Operational Readiness Inspection. He was also hand-picked by the Air Education and Training Command Inspection Team for assistance during the week-long inspection. Sergeant De La Cerda is currently pursing a master's degree in human resource management. He served as president of the 80th FTW's Top 4, was a house captain for Christmas in Action and was key in the delivery of over 25,000 pounds of food to the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank. 80th FTW names annual award winners
