Airman 1st Class Joe Serna, 82nd Security Forces Squadron entry controller, was presented as Air Force Commendation Medal Nov. 20, 2014, on Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, for an act of courage. Serna and a fellow wingman disarmed a highly intoxicated Airman at a party who was threatening the lives of those around him.
