Airman Robert Feher-Johnson, 363rd Training Squadron A-10 armament systems apprentice course Airman, performs a functional check on an A-10 Thunerbolt II at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, April 26, 2018. Feher-Johnson is testing if the A-10's primary weapon, the 30 mm GAU-8/A cannon, rotates properly. The cannon is made up of seven 30 mm barrels that are able to shoot up to 3,900 rounds per minute. The A-10 is affectionately called the Warthog because it isn't the prettiest of aircraft, but certainly one of the toughest. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Pedro Tenorio)
