    Per new Defense Department guidance, mask wear indoors is mandatory effective immediately in areas considered to be in the "High" transmission category according to Centers of Disease Control & Prevention guidelines. This includes Wichita County.

    Aircrew flight equipment and other aircraft maintenance career field graduates have put their sewing skills to work to create thousands of cloth face covers out of garments like old Battle Dress Uniforms and Airman Battle Uniforms to recently discarded Operational Camouflage Pattern uniforms. The race to provide another precautionary measure to the combat toolkit against COVID-19 began in earnest April 6, 2020, at the 361st Training Squadron schoolhouse.
  • DOD releases overseas stop movement order in response to COVID-19

    Building upon previously enacted movement restrictions governing foreign travel, permanent change of station moves, temporary duty and personal leave, this stop movement order will also impact exercises, deployments, redeployments and other global force management activities. Approximately 90,000 Service Members slated to deploy or redeploy over the next 60 days will likely be impacted by this stop movement order.
  • BRS decision time quickly approaching

    After Dec. 31, 2018, the opt-in option will no longer be available to members with the exception of some unique and very specific circumstances. Airmen only get one chance to opt-in to the BRS. If they opt-in, they cannot change your decision, so an informed decision is a smart decision.
