Changes to TRICARE affecting urgent care policies
With the 2018 changes in TRICARE and new Wisconsin Physician Service billing system, there are a number of local facilities that are no longer TRICARE- authorized for urgent care. At this time, the only TRICARE authorized urgent care facility for active duty family members and retirees is CommunityMed Family Urgent Care located at 3310 Midwestern Parkway in Wichita Falls, Texas.

FEDVIP open enrollment begins Nov. 12; includes retirees, families
The Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) will be offered for the first time to TRICARE eligible retirees and their families during the 2018 Federal Benefits Open Season, which is Nov. 12, 2018, through Dec. 10, 2018. Active duty family members will be eligible to enroll in FEDVIP vision insurance.
