Sheppard honors defenders, special agents during retreat ceremony
82nd Security Forces Squadron, Office of Special Investigations and guests at the annual Police Memorial Retreat on May 14, 2021, reflected on the lives lost by Air Force security forces defenders and Office of Special Investigations special agents. It was the culmination of a week of recognition events hosted by SFS.
18 Airmen receive non-judicial punishment for actions
Eighteen Sheppard Airmen received non-judicial punishment in April for violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Article 15 of the UCMJ provides an essential and prompt means of maintaining good order and discipline for their units. It is intended to promote positive behavior changes in service members without the stigma of a court-martial conviction.
3 Airmen earn Master MTL designation in inaugural competition
Sheppard AFB has kicked off a new program called the Master Military Training Leader Program to identify and put those individuals out front for the purpose of the continued training and mentorship of their peers. With only 10% considered for this distinction at any given time, the 82nd and 782nd Training Groups were the first here to implement the program distinguishing and rewarding those who exemplify the best of the best Military Training Leaders currently serving in their ranks.
