The Sheppard Veterinary Clinic moved last summer to its new location at 119 Community Center Drive in building 100, which is across from the base commissary and the old Class VI store.

The clinic is open for over-the-counter sales Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is closed from noon-1 p.m. for lunch.

Appointments with the veterinarians can be made on Monday and Tuesday by calling the clinic at 940-676-6883.

Services provided include vaccinations, examinations, heartworm testing, de-worming, micro chipping, health certificates, and other minor medical issues. Don't forget to ask us about flea, tick, and heartworm prevention for your pet.

The base vet clinic is operated by the Oklahoma branch of Public Health Command District Fort Hood, which is based at Fort Sill, Okla. The Army veterinarians travel down from Fort Sill to provide small animal care to the active duty and retired members in the Wichita Falls area.
