Colorado native aces hydraulics course Published June 29, 2018 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Senior Airman Brian Gurule, a native of Pueblo, Colorado, earned the distinction of being an ACE student here when he scored perfect 100s on each exam in the aircraft hydraulics apprentice course. Gurule and other Airmen in the 49-day course were instructed on the basics of aircraft hydraulics, how to troubleshoot and repair problems, pressure checking hydraulic systems, servicing hydraulic lines and other maintenance procedures. The class is scheduled to graduate June 28, 2018. Instructor comment: “Senior Airman Gurule was able to complete a task that has not been accomplished by many and if it was easy, everyone would grab the ACE award,” said 364th Training Squadron aircraft hydraulics systems instructor DeJuan Wallace. “Not only did he master his own studies, but he also helped younger Airmen achieve their goals.”
