Zeigler aces 36-day aircraft fuels systems course

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Airman 1st Class Taitem Zeigler, a 361st Training Squadron aircraft fuels systems apprentice course student, earned an ACE award July 25, 2018, after he scored 100s on the final test of the 36-day course.

Zeigler and other Airmen in the 36-day course learn basic maintenance fundamentals, aircraft fuel systems operations, fuel tank entry, fuel cell familiarization and integral fuel tank familiarization. Aircraft fuel systems Airmen are required to climb inside fuel cells to inspect and detect issues within the bladders as well as perform installation and removal procedures.

Hobbies: Power sports, to include dirt bikes, ATVs, UTVs and boats. I also enjoy hunting and playing basketball.

Favorite aspect of job: Being hands on and physically working with the aircraft.

Most memorable Air Force experience: Shaking hands with Lt. Gen. Maryanne Miller, chief of Air Force Reserve and Air Force Reserve Command commander
