82nd TRW recognizes annual, technical training award winners

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The 82nd Training Wing at Sheppard Air Force Base recognized its Annual and Technical Training Award winners March 10 during a ceremony in downtown Wichita Falls.

Congratulations to this year’s award winners and those nominated to compete, who embody the wing’s mission – “Train the world’s best Airmen” – and vision – “Defending America’s future … one graduate at a time.” Included in the text on the medallions presented to each nominee were the Latin words, “Et Aurum Vexillum,” or “The Gold Standard.”

Annual Award winners include:

• Airman of the Year: Senior Airman Donald Lamb, 82nd Security Forces Squadron
• Noncommissioned Officer of the Year: Staff Sgt. Elena Cordova, 82nd Health Care Operations Squadron
