Dec. 19, 2019 Work on new 'front door' to Sheppard continues at Main Gate The more than $8 million Main Gate construction project at Sheppard AFB continues to push forward with a significant visual component going into place in November when a T-38 Talon static display was mounted on a pedestal. The project is scheduled to be complete in April 2020.
Dec. 13, 2019 Safety program IDs 159 vehicles with recalls during review The 82nd Training Wing Safety Office hosted a team from the National Safety Council’s “Check To Protect” Campaign in November, a first in the Air Force. Of the 700 vehicles scanned, 159 total safety recalls were discovered.

Elmer, from Santa Rosa, California, achieved perfect scores in the 361st Training Squadron's aerospace ground equipment apprentice course during the 15 blocks of instruction that spanned 87 training days. Dec. 5, 2019 88th FTS instructors provide support roles to Luke AFB fighter jets The 88th Fighter Training Squadron, which is part of the 80th Flying Training Wing’s Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program, provided adversary support to a mix of F-35 and F-16 squadrons assigned to the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke AFB, Arizona, during a two-week exercise in Arizona.
